Particulate filter – the Flauraud range

The particulate filter, situated in the exhaust line, catches particles present in the exhaust gas. It wears according to the driving conditions—whether you are driving in the city or the country. If you’re noticing the engine spluttering, a warning light turning on, or excessive fuel consumption, consider changing the part. Driving with a worn filter will damage the turbo and the catalytic converter, leading to repetitive breakdowns, the vehicle stopping, and a failed technical inspection. The particulate filter should often be changed between 80,000 km and 180,000 km but you should refer to the manufacturer’s maintenance manual to find out the replacement frequency.
