Blower units — passenger compartment fan
Blower units, which form part of the passenger compartment ventilation system, are made up of a motor, an impeller, a heating element and a regulator.
Though blower units are not parts generally subject to wear and tear, they can still become fatigued over time. Before replacing a blower unit, it’s important to first check its various components, such as the regulator, the heating element and the motor, as it’s possible to replace each of these parts independently. That said, it’s advisable to properly maintain the blower unit by keeping the air inlets clean and clear, cleaning the evaporator, and regularly changing the passenger compartment filter.
